Hi,

I can see that at the Parallax web site four options about B.Stamps on Linux.

They are:
1---BASIC Stamp Linux Software provided by Francis Esmonde-White
and SourceForge.net. (Not supported by Parallax).

2---BASIC Stamp Linux Solution provided by Randy Hootman
(Not supported by Parallax)

3---PBASIC Editor for Linux part 1

4---PBASIC Editor for Linux part 2

But I would like which one has Parallax support and I would like to know if there are
Linux drivers for the Serial to USB conversor.

Thanks, Mark

I, too, am a Linux user, and it's a shame that no one appears to be developing versions of Parallax software that run natively on Linux. I used to run Oracle's VirtualBox (for about a little over a year), but since it's virtual, it doesn't provide direct access to the hardware, so it's too slow for my uses.

FWIW Iam on Debian 6 right now and I have NO problem with WINE and the winbllows version of the BS2 editor . the only issue is the fonts are some times wonky . Prop SW is flawless.

    As for Drivers ..

Use a parallax USB>Serial.... OR a USB-19-HS From Keyspan ( now part of tripplight ) I have used it Form PLCs to cisco routers to just about every Micon I have had to use...

    they " just " work
That said .. I Need to know what distro you are running .. so that I can do some tests for you here .

    EG

    gnome 2.5 with debian 6 on a toughbook CF-29 1.6 GHz 1.5 GB ram ...
