Newbie needs help with serial io

I am new to the Prop IC world and looking for some direction, any help is appreciated.

The project I am starting is to transmit the data from an analog sensor over wifi. My research has lead me to use a prop IC for A/D then connect it to a WIZ610Wi (It has serial to Ethernet capabilities).

So my first question is if someone could point in the direction of using a Prop for A/D and serial communication.

Note: I have looked at the basic stamp, but I need continuous analog collect while transmitting data. In other words "real-time" data collection.
