$10 gets you 10,000 of these 2.5" bare jumper wires. Just a tenth of a penny each. Surely somebody here needs these...

    If only they weren't bare....

I eat those little packs of wire that Parallax sells for lunch!

Oh boy! Zero-ohm resistors! (Just remember to cut them off the the tape, rather than peeling the tape off. Tape residue is a poor conductor.)

    Now you tell me!

I could have used that information a year ago.

Now I keep a bottle of Everclear near by to get rid of the goo. Resistors, capacitors and transistors all insert into breadboards with less trouble when under the influence (of clean leads).

If you cut them off, you can use the Everclear for ... um ... something else. :)

Like making one THINK his broken foot is all healed up and ready for a long drive? :)

Ditto. (Not about the Everclear part though.)

I don't drink alcohol myself but I use Everclear as a solvent and it's great for spitting fire. It works great with chromium trioxide. The chromium trioxide causes the Everclear to ignite on contact. Fun stuff. The Everclear sure burns (not with heat) when it's in my mouth though. Swallowing the stuff is very far from my mind.

Maybe erco's flame throwing BOE-Bot could try a few swigs. I think it's relatively environmentally friendly (without the chromium trioxide).

I actually consumed the stuff once -- just once -- mixed with lime Kool Aid, in Elfin Cove Alaska, summer of 1977. It was the only thing we could muster up for a party, but after ten long days at sea trolling for salmon, it was good enough!

Everclear is one of a few things that are supposed to make you go blind.

Now how far off topic are we, gang?

somehow, I think the missing QTI's involve Matt G. and the line following contest...
but I guess the whole meat dress thing is kinda important too.

I don't know which is more disturbing: Lady Ga Ga in a meat dress or the fact the erco reads the New York Post. :) But hey! It's erco's thread; I'm just along for the ride. Yee hah!

Wait a minute.. does Lady Ga Ga use Everclear?
Never mind, I don't think she has any use for 10,000 bare wires... not even for $10 bucks..
Well.. unless she wants to make another dress..

I might suspect MattG put the kybosh on QTIs in order to win LFO, if not for the larger QTI kit in stock: http://www.parallax.com/StoreSearchResults/tabid/768/txtSearch/qti/List/0/SortField/4/ProductID/77/Default.aspx

So Matt's still AOK by me, but let's keep that on the QT, aye?
