Has anyone tried this board to control a bi-colored LED with the BS1?

There are basically two types of bi-colored leds available. One is a 3 wire that has to select a different color with each pin and that requires 2 I/O (possible to have both colors on at same time) and an external common to either ground or plus (depending on the type). The other is a 2 wire that requires a reverse in polarity to change color and that also requires 2 I/O, but no other connections.

For the above, there are lots of examples on the web.

This is yet a third choice. So it seems some how with something like a diode, they have made one or the other of the about into 1 I/O and needing a ground and a plus. It may not be a significant additions in cost, but you could just buy one of the LEDs and do without the board.
