Please talk me out of bidding on this Traxster chassis. I am hoping by, posting it here someone else will bid on it and push the price out of the tempting range.

Amanda, you like tracked robots.

The last time this happened I bought four continuous rotation servos for $16 because they zero bids.

    I have thought about it a lot and I can't think of a single reason why you should not buy that. Not one.

    Great price. Perfect for a robot base. No-one else bidding.

    Go on, you know you want to bid...

    Well, Martin, if you decide not to bid maybe we should go in on one of these http://www.invenscience.com/index_files/Page789.htm

    I didn't bid on the Traxster, as requested. Don't forget the other 500 discussion forums! Better stop them too :)

    Would be a whole lot of fun to control a 500-lb tracked robot, wouldn't it? Maybe Dr_Acula could help talk you into this one too. Shall we go in on the real deal?

    Aren't the Boston Dymanics robo-dogs in your part of the country? Maybe you need one of those.

    Just buy that Traxster. If you want it, bid to win!

    I have too many robots, and I keep building more. But if the Traxster price remains that low towards auction close I may have no choice but to bid. Plus if I buy the Traxster instead of the ZOMBY think of all the money I'll save.

    Indeed they are as well as several robotics companies. Microsoft's Memorial drive facility has an annual robotics, pizza, and beer event. Robotics companies and individual in the area bring in their gear to show it off. The year I went iRobot had a pack bot running around. I'm pretty sure Boston Dynamics was there, but I did not see (or hear) big or little dog walking around. Some college students brought their fire fighting robot which was pretty neat. In a way I thought that was cooler than pack bot because it was completely autonomous.

    @Martin_H: Do not bid. I for-bid it!

    Do not improve your Figure 8. I forbid it!

    Do not Charlieplex. I forbid it!

    Do NOT send me cash aplenty. I FORBID it!

    The observed behavior seems to be an EBay addiction. It may require starting a 12-step program and a period in rehab to change.

    BTW, Buying EBay and getting delivery to Taiwan is difficult. Maybe you should just come here.
