Hello all.....
I'm in the States right now, waiting for a flight in NYC.
Thought while I was just sitting here yawning I'd take
a moment to say hi.
I have been in Canada and the US and now it's time to
head back.
Saw Newt Gingrich's speech at the AIPAC Conference, wow!
what a great orator. I guess it looks like he won't get the nomination.
It's a shame, even though I can't vote for him now.
I have been doing nothing for a few months programming wise. I miss
it and I think I'm getting rusty.
I did try to buy some Raspberry Pi boards but could not get through
the throng...darn! I'm on a waiting list though. What a great gadget
they are. 35 USD and there's Linux, ARM11 in a SOC, HDMI output.
I can't wait to get some. I just watched a very funny youtube video about
the Raspberry Pi...take a look.

Well, I'm going to try to fall asleep in this seat while I wait for the flight.
I'm soooo tired. I just had to take this opportunity to check in and glance
at the forums for a few minutes...such opportunities are very rare for me
these days....

It is good to hear from you. Sorry that the Raspberry Pi seemed to be more of an advertising event that a real product.
I really like the PandaBoard and found difficulties with getting that sent to Taiwan due to the lack of providing a valid business. The BeaverBoard is yet another appealing Linus small board environment.
Yes, Newt is a rousing speaker and enjoys keeping his audience on the edge of their chair - maybe too much so to make a good world leader. These days, saner heads need to prevail or the planet will get very shot up.
Thanks for the drive_by Holly, good to know your still kickin..

Stay safe.

Sounds like you have been having a great tour. Good to hear from another raspberry enthusiast. Like you I'm eager to get hold of one. I want to couple it with a Prop or two. Now that we have propgcc and an open source Spin compiler we can develop for the Prop on the Pi and have it all in a box the size of a cigarette packet. Great for all those who are traveling around.
Loopy,
What?! If they have sold out 10000 of the first run that makes it a serious product. It's probably been more successful that they ever imagined.
I haven't seen so much enthusiasm and buzz for a micro dev kit since the early days of 8 bit processors in the mid 70's
Godspeed.
Thanks for the update.
He's got the AIPAC power nap down, that's fer sure.

? Do iI recall correctly?
Oh, and add me to the "Nice to see you checking in" chorus, Holly. I hope one day you can tell the full tale of your adventures.
