Boe-Bot IR navigation problems.

I was working on my Boe-bot and coded the IR program as specified in the manual. However, When I turn my Boe-Bot on, it goes in circles, instead of going straight until it detects an object. I tested it in a room with the walls VERY far back, to make sure the Boe-bot isn't detecting any objects, but it still keeps on going in circles. Now, I have skipped the part on how to add the piezospeakers, could that be the problem? The program at the beginning says "testing PiezoSpeaker". Any help would be appreciated.

I think you would receive a better response if you attach your code and a picture or a diagram of how you have connected the IR pair.
