Light for my desktop mill

The lighting around my mil is not the best so I was looking for a light like I have on

my big mill. But they don't make small arm lights.

We just re did our kitchen cabinets and I had an extra under cabinet?

Guess what?

Dont tell my wife were it went.

Those lights are great for a year or so but they don't like vibration and they don't like humidity, and once the first halogen bulb goes you might as well throw it away. I used to have about 20 of them in barrister's bookcases illuminating my wife's mineral collection; seemed like one was ALWAYS out. I finally ditched them all and put in CFL's. The light temperature isn't as good but they just work, and they don't get hot enough to set things on fire.

For what you're doing I'd look into something LED based. I suppose it's possible that your under counter is LED, in which case it's perfect, but in the photo it looks halogen.

I use this L ED lamp from Lowes - except it's blue.

Since it's getting put on a metal box, I would've used a high-power LED and attached it with thermal epoxy.

Just made a eight LED (160mA each) 12volt 5cm hexagone design, expandable as they tile.
Exposing the tin metal to act as a reflector.

And also comes in 110v 44led 20mA version.

This 20day wait from China for pcbs is cramping my style, as I can churn out new ideas all day.

MCPCB I hope? If not, they'll probably overheat.

The 12v is gone be used as poollight and epoxy sealed, so I hope being in water will keep it cool.
I may use 7 of them to tile a big circle, with a mix of white and blue LEDs
The driver IC on the back side have external resistor to change current to manage heat if I have to.
