Frequencies range out of expectation?

I refer to Figure 6-9:Astable Multivibrator on page 116,Chapter 6:Recording Frequency Data,Basic Analog and Digital Student's Guide. I've build the circuit using the ceramic capacitor 104, but the RANGE of the recording frequencies are quite different from those reporting in Figure 6-10 on the same chapter.
To be specific I've got a range from 1600 Hz-3370 Hz adjusting the pot. Is that normal, should I consider sth else? Any ideas?
