Honestly, I've locked a few threads recently that were simply headed in an unproductive direction. And I was part of the trouble, too.

Lock-it up.........
OUR forum, but I'm one of the Keeper of the Keys. That green version of me doesn't bother me one bit, Walt. Try harder .
But to everyone else, youll always be the big ol green master emerald that keeps this angel island afloat!
(if you don't get it, play sonic 3 & knuckles on genesis, get to sky sanctuary zone, or hidden palace zone and you will understand)
@Sonic, you are *way* too involved in that game!

I did not mean to be disrespectful
'
The "Ken GRINCH" was just humor about you being the Boss @ Parallax.
'
I Apologize if I have offended you.

I hope all is cool!!!!!

From now on I'll post a lot less.....
Also I told the story of sonic from the very beginning since 1991 and can PM anybody if they want to hear it....
I like being the focus of jokes. Bring 'em on, Starsky!
Or is he silicon?
He's the weird guy with glasses right?
I see you as Michael more.
I cannot respond to closures of threads belonging to other people, but in response to the recent closures of two of my threads, I fully respect and stand behind Ken's decision to close them. One of the threads was on the verge of becoming highly explosive and the most recent one was definitely heading in a direction that I never intended.
Without a doubt, I highly respect the right to free speech, but as Ken mentioned, a lot of kids read these forums to learn, and we certainly don't want to teach these young people that it is acceptable to insult one another. In fact, I would much rather teach them to be kind to one another, learn everything that you can about the subjects that interest you, and if you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all. However, in addition to that, I also believe in the right to self-defensive, which includes protecting and defending yourself from verbal assault, which could be the case in an open internet forum.
In summary, I believe that as keeper of the keys, it is Parallax's duty to close threads that become more destructive than constructive.

That's a great initiative! Perhaps I'll be nice AND teach others what I know about electronics! Bruce, you're like the pulldown resistor that keeps my pins from floating......!
We need ten more of you too..
Most definitely!, Management should reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

woof!!!
I know, Martin, and others will GROWL about the topic, some will WHINE relentlessly about content, and a few will BARK up the wrong tree. Audio technics only think about their big WOOFER, Propeller dudes are PANTING over the Prop II, and in general everyone should stop HOWLING. Of course the TAIL WAGGERS are too passive and the ones SHOWING THEIR TEETH are all bluff. If this doesn't RAISE EARS, then what will? Will posted content have some BITE? Just know if you have a COLD WET NOSE, you'll be healthy. Now go ROLL OVER and lay down.
You never can tell, it may get interesting. In my opinion, it is a very HOT topic and that is why most people are staying at a safe distance from it.

David, you might want to MOVe OUTA here before things get serious........
