    Looks like two 16x2 LCDs on the same board. Think I'll stick with a more traditional-type display. But I guess someone could have a use for the dual displays.

    It seems that using a Parallel LCD with a serial-to-parallel shift register chip can accommodate most situations where you need a serial LCD, but have a Parallel.

    Of course if you require the RS-232 levels, it is a much bigger issue.
