Hi,
I am looking into creating an archery target that reports the coordinates of an arrows location in the target. We can use blunt tips on the arrows to prevent them from penetrating if needed. I have seen several interactive boards that utilize IR sensors to report coordinates, possibly an option? The arrows are moving anywhere from 140-330 FPS before hitting the target. I currently have the BS2 Board I am using for the beginners course of "whats a Microcontroller".
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

One thing that comes to mind is a pair of laser scanners, across the target surface, looking for reflections from the shaft.
