Where to start?
SONIC the Hedgehog

Thanks to a really good person here at the propeller forums, I have been sent two things. A propeller platform USB, and an El' Jugador module! It's really cool, but I'm still pretty clueless. If some one could pleas send me a link to download a PDF of the hydra game development book, that would be great. I hear it really explains retro gaming.....
Also, if any one has any good ideas on where to start, that would be really appreciated!
Shout out to Oldbitcolloector. Thanks a bunch! You are a great asset to your company, and are a big help here!

You can get your "spin on" doing a simple game project like this... then once you are comfortable with the basics, here's the hydra book.
The great thing is that all propeller boards are compatible with only differences in the I/O pins used between the hydra and other Propeller boards.
Other differences like keyboard/mouse circuits have been worked out with cross compatible spin code.

How long until I can run the Green Hill Zone on the propeller?
I have a strong feeling of D
@Circuitsoft well I was thinking of building an emulator for TMS9918A( aka master system VDP) and I believe I've seen an emulator on the prop already for the PSG it uses, plus I have seen ZiCog the Z80 emulator for the propeller. So put these together with a bit of BIOS code.....you get s virtual master system. But this might take a bit, so Im thinking of making a port and using some SONIC game editor tools to get sprites and recreate the game on prop
@Duane Degn....perhaps.......it seems familiar......
