Need help with tone generator

Can the BS2 module be used as a tone generator to produce a variable sinewave? I am trying to tune my tesla coil. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I doubt it, Tesla coils use RF. A simple LC Hartley or Colpitts oscillator should be all that is required.

    Okay thanks. So in the Colpitts, varying the capacitance in the tank circuit will adjust the frequency of the output?

    Or by varying the inductance. A variable capacitor is generally used.
