Hello community,

I am interested in transmitting video through my propeller to a computer via an XBee Pro. The thing is I want to use a digital source. I have not been able to find much information on HDMI or DVI protocols and I don’t even know if the propeller is fast enough to communicate with these devices. Any tips or links would be appreciated.

Thanks for you time,
Greg

I'm pretty sure the neither the prop or the XBee Pro is fast enough for either one of the protocols you mention. Now watch someone prove me wrong about the prop.

The Prop can't do HDMI. Nor will the Prop II. The data rate is just too fast. And no hope at all for real-time video of any kind via the XBee.

Something like a BeagleBone with a 700 MHz TI AM3358 ARM Cortex-A8 is needed for HDMI ($89). I've got one, and can recommend it. It'll be a little time before a suitable interface is developed, though.
