Terry Lovejoy discovered a huge comet headed right for the sun, then on Dec 16th the comet flew right through our sun's atmosphere!
It caught the attention of many astronomer types including NASA who trained their Solar dynamics observatory on the area to capture the following videos!

    That's pretty cool. I wonder what kind of filters they use for the observatory when view the solar atmosphere?
