Common Anode 7 segment and 14 segment alphanumeric displays run off of 3 stamp i/o pins via cascaded 74hc595 shift registers. I just wanted to thank Mike Green for his help regarding this project. Here are two photos that I have so far. I am still coding the clock portion of the display so all I have right now is the month day and year and I am using the DS1302 and a crystal for the clock. Thank You Chris Savage for your tutorial it was most detailed.
