Prop with WizNet WIZ812MJ

I just got a WIZ812MJ and I am trying to learn how to use it. It has 2 headers that are each 2x10 pins so interfacing it with a breadboard is difficult, but not impossible (any suggestions on an easier solution here I would love to hear). Ultimately, I want to find out if anyone has any code and wiring diagram that would go together to give me a simple project to get my feet wet. I am no expert with SPIN and completely ignorant of ASM, but I have built some useful projects with propellers in the past. I just need something to look at, then I can play with it and figure out how it works and how to make it do what I need.

Anything you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan Rafferty

Rayn, browse the Spinneret Forum for WizNet software. The Spinneret product page has schematics.

Thanks Mike. I have looked through some of the software available in the Spinneret Forum; the only problem is that it all seems way more in depth than what I am looking for...and I don't actually have a Spinneret. Would you recommend I buy a Spinneret and PropPlug and go from there? My goal for this project is to be able to send data over ethernet from a PC, and have a propeller write it to an EEPROM. I have the "write to EEPROM" part figured out, now I just need to learn the ethernet part. The propeller doesn't necessarily need to be listening for the data all the time, I would probably have it contact a server and request the data, but that can be worked out later.

Again, I really appreciate your help. I wish I was more knowledgeable with this stuff. I just love working with it and everyone on the forums are always a tremendous help.

You don't need to buy a spinneret, the reason he mentioned it is becasue uses the same IC as the module you are using, which means you can use the spinnerets Ethernet driver to connect to your module. As far as using that module on a breadboard you won't be able to w/o building some sort of adapter. If you want to see a schematic that uses that module you can check out one of my projects here.
