RF with prop - remote control fob receiver

Phil has done some amazing RF work with the prop chip. I have a design where I require a number of different keyfobs that will perform various functions.
The 433MHz band is ideal. By utilising the cheap keyfobs with individual identification codes, it would be necessary to have access to the data from the receiver.
With Phils work, I would think it quite likely the prop could do most of the receivers work, and the decoding of the individual keyfobs, to arrive at the output desired to be switched.
Has anyone done any work on using/validating various identifiable keyfobs???
