Quick Connect for wires (Spring terminals)
Like most of you I'm always trying new configurations and designs, on my robots and stuff.
While the headers supplied with the boards are good for connection daughter boards and such and soldering the wires to the boards is a more permenent way I just like having the flexability of connection and reconnecting without soldering all the time when I want to make a change.
And my wires jammed into the pin sockets just dont hold.
I knew there had to be a better way. The first problem was the .100 pin spacing that is common to all the boards.
After scouring the catalogs here is what I found.
Spring loaded quick connect terminals that have a push button to open the terminals.
For now I dont know if I will be keeping the header pins on the board or removing them?
I use my Gaget Gangester board alot.
They come in 2 - 16 pin configuration. 2 pins one cost me .57 cents and the 16 pin one cost 1.57 each.
Cant beat it for convenence.

Do they hold the wire well?
Would you mind sharing your source and part number?
I have a couple of spring termals myself but the ones you have look like they're better quality.
I hope you'll post an update about these after you've used them for a while.
Thanks for your post.
The ones I've used most are from phoenix contact. Digikey has them.
