gift certificates - how to redeem them?

Does anyone have any experience with Parallax gift certificates? I've been trying to redeem one, but with no success.

Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Posting a message to the person who issued it - no response.
2. Phoning Parallax Sales - they said they had no information about gift certificates and that the person who issued them no longer worked at Parallax. They suggested emailing sales@parallax.com.
3. Emailing sales@parallax.com. No acknowledgement or even a response.

Were these "gift certificates" something known only to a few within Parallax? Has anyone ever redeemed one?

Not a normal occurrence and I also wasn't aware of gift cards.

But it is no big deal that nobody is aware of it - just let me know the amount we promised and what you'd like by email to kgracey@parallax.com and we will get the order together tomorrow morning.

Most of our sales people don't visit the forums. . . .so I am pleased to help here.

I tried to get some several years ago, but was very politely told by a highly regarded person in sales that Parallax was not set up to offer gift certificates. Too bad though, it would be a gift I would be so happy to give to the right person.

Good luck with that. Can you get a credit card statement or cancelled check to help figure it out?

I think the "gift certificate" thing must have been an initiative of a person who's now left the company. A pity - seemed like a good idea.
