I think the modern version is a 200 in 1 or a 500 in 1 kit now, and include some logic IC's to add to the mix. So, they are still made, but they cost a bit more than $10. I learned much about electronics on a system similar to this.

Grew tired of the springy terminals rather quickly and the fact it ran on batteries kind of soured things. However, all the components and jumper wires fit right in with my Parallax toys. The manuals were also helpful in clearing the cobwebs from the memories of my earlier electronics training.

So the console sits in its box in the closet, but its various bits live on, scattered among my many other projects.

Haha, that is exactly what happened to mine, the console is in my closet, and I still occasionally use the ICs and Maunal.
