Hello Everyone,
In order to indicate my knowledge, I just build my own beam and ball via basic stamp and ping))). My next goal is to stabilize a rod( at one end it is pivoted and at the other and actuated by propelled DC motor ) by using parallax accel. or gyro sensors. My questions are:
1) Is it possible to do all these by basic stamp
2) If it is, I would be happy to learn speed controller brand suitable to connect basic stamp.
3) My sistem will be weigh aroung 200-300 gram so, happy to hear appropriate micro DC motor sugestion
Thanks in advance for any comment and help

2) Look at Pololu's on-line catalog. They make a variety of motor controllers that can easily controlled by a Stamp. Some even include their own PID controlller where the parameters would be set from the Stamp.
3) Maybe someone else would chime in with this.
All the best,

Interesting question, just the other day I came up against exactly the same problemo. I am making a robot using Tamiya's (Probabbly wrong spelling...) DC motor gear box. As Mr. Green indecated, Polulo has a range of good motor drivers. I used one in perticular, and I have been quite happy with it, here is the link to it:

I just noticed on the website that these are getting discontinued because it is an old part. However, if I found a good part good, a new replacement part should be even better
