Hi All,

Anybody watch the full lunar eclipse this morning (Sat, 12/10)?

It was to occur around 6AM here on the west coast.

My cat woke me up (yes, he's still with us) at 5:45AM so I figured I'd bundle up and give it a shot. The moon was almost in full eclipse and in the next 15 - 20 minutes I watched it turn ruddy and then fade into the light cloud cover. The ambient urban light in my end of the south San Francisco bay area didn't help either.

So - anybody have better luck? Any pictures?

Perhaps Huminoido got a shot with his new telescope. Where is he? Did we upset him?

Well, gee - with all the tech-heads on this forum I thought for sure a majority would have known in advance!

'Too much fog/low cloud cover here. Besides, I'd drag myself out of bed at sixish for a solar eclipse. But a lunar eclipse? Meh, not so much. I'm content to let the incantations and incense-burning of others make that ominous red shadow go away. 'Works every time! :)

Well it was said everywhere that it would be visible over North America but not in Europe.. turned out that was incorrect but I didn't find out until fairly late (they didn't include north of Europe in Europe), and so I only got to see it when total had already passed.
