Propeller 1
Has anyone done any work with the vs1011e (b) chips combined with the Propeller yet?

I saw an object for
vs1002
in OBEX. I work with vs1000d but ended up working on its firmware in vside instead

Pricing those chips, I'm starting to see why DIY MP3 kits are a bit pricey...
/me thinks it's time to buy some of those cheap mp3 players (.01+free shipping) from HK and see if there is a usable chip/circuit board there.
Too much to hope for?

OBC,
Some of those MP3 chips (I believe this includes the VS1011e) have a minimum retail price. This means
the chip
may cost the same as a
breakout board
.
If you do purchase a VS1011e, I'd suggest the breakout board since it's the same price as the chip.

There's a $4 version of these chip's at SparkFun...
I bought a few, considering making a board for them...
Completed board cost could be $10, I think...
