For anyone that has a HC4LED display that were being sold a few years ago. (I bought a box of 25 just to have around for projects.)

I have the red filter meterial that makes the segments look so much better.

I can laser cut to almost any size.

Send me a PM if you would like some.

    Jim,

That looks great. How does it do in sunlight? (I'm assuming it's under florescent in the photo)

    Hi Jim,

I have a pair of the HC4LED displays.
I would like a couple filters.
I have not found a good way to mount the displays.
I would like to be able to secure the display to the filter, and then mount the filter to my project(s) with 4 screws.

    Regards,

    zappman

The setup I show pictured here will allow you to mount the HC4LED to a prototyping board, but I can cut you a standalone mount and give you 4 holes for some 4-40 screws to mount it anywhere you like. I'll upload some pictures later today and show you the setup with some options.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Thanks for the pics!

I know you do a lot of stuff for your bikes, so seeing outdoor pictures was a great help.

Had some issues with my laser over heating yesterday. I should have some more pics posted in the next few days.
