Just thought I would post this here, Props(pun intended) for making news and promoting the prop platform and gadget gangster!

Simply awesome. I remember a long time ago modifying an 8 bit controller to use the "old school" 15 pin joystick port found on old sound cards. This is a great way to do it without destroying the controller in the process. I could not find a link towhere I could purchace this item, or download some source code/schematics. Anyone out there willing to share some info? OBC?

    (woohoo! first star!)

    Thanks Jimmy!

@Sariel, No controllers were harmed in the making of this project. I purchased cheap extension cables for each of the controllers off Ebay. The extensions cost around $5.00 each. Never saw that 8bit to PC adatper. Sounds cool, but few newer PCs have that DB15 connector anymore.

yeah, that is why it is in a box somewhere in my garage. It worked awesome with NESticle back in the day using just the standard "Gravis" drivers that were bundled with Win95. Unlike your project, I did really mutilate the PCB inside the gamepad. Removed the IC, cut traces, added a couple transistors and a couple resistors... I would really have to dig to find the schematic, but I suspect the intrest in this is quite low.
