Requesting C3 mod for the future.

Just got the C3 in, and looks like seriously good learning tool. I wish however if there is a future release that they take a page out of the GG USB platform's book and either isolate the USB 5V supply from the rest of the board or preferably add in a jumper/switch to that I don't have to play plug shuffle if I am having to run the unit from a wall wart.

Only a request, not a criticism for a well designed board. You could call me lazy at that, but I prefer to call it paranoia, magic smoke is expensive.......

I tested it hot swapping on about 14 different systems including hubs, pcs, macs, and xbox's. You don't have to juggle, its a pre-caution from Parallax due to an event they had with another product under a specific set of conditions, but not the C3. Just use it with a hub, put both supplies in, it will be fine. But, yes, when enough changes accumulate then I will add one more diode and make everyone less paranoid Its just that some USBs are down to 4.1V, that plus 200-300mV for the forward drop, puts us into near deregulation even on the LDO I used, so I have used this design on 1000's of my chameleons without a single problem, thus, I kept it for the C3.

I have two PASM projects that I am working on with the USB port interface that now function as expected with properly powered servos and PIR sensors.

It was a little frustrating.
