Stamp compatibility with older dev boards?

I have an older Stamp Works kit with the INEX-1000 development board. Is this board compatible with the Spin Stamp?
I saw on the Propeller page that the current Professional Development Board and Board of Education are compatible and I have my fingers crossed that my board is as well...

I suspect that the INEX-1000 is mostly compatible with the SpinStamp. The board provides either Vin or +5V to the Stamp, either of which is usable by the SpinStamp. The DB-9 connector used for programming won't work since the SpinStamp uses a PropClip for that purpose. You may have some problems with that since there are parts around the Stamp socket that will block the space needed to connect the PropClip. You can solder a 4-pin header onto the SpinStamp and use a PropPlug and that will fit since it would mount vertically.
The I/O pins will need some kind of voltage interfacing, particularly for use as inputs. All of the INEX-1000 devices run off +5V, so you may need some 2.2K resistors or other interfaces between the +3.3V I/O pins and the +5V devices. That's discussed in one of the Propeller Forum sticky threads. It's an issue with all of the Stamp boards.
I've used a SpinStamp with a Board of Education. It works great as long as you respect the voltage limits of the Propeller's I/O pins.
Sounds like what you really need is the Propeller BOE. I've been working with one of these the last couple of nights and I think it's the finest board we've ever designed.

Can't find much info on it.

It looks like circa 2001...?...BS1 days....A little before My time with Parallax.

I didn't find Parallax until 04'

Thanks
Thank you Ken the offer to allow a return is much appreciated. Do you know when the Propeller BOE will be available for purchase?
Hi Walt, I'll take a pic and post it later. I cant remember exactly when I bought the Stamp Works kit to be honest.
