Interesting IR sensor spotted on ebay

This looks like it may be a nice IR sensor to try on a robot. It seems like it would be easy to mount just by drilling a large hole.

Have not tried. It's nice to see other people scoping Ebay deals.

The copy says 50 cm=40 inches. Hmmm. Hope the rest of the info is more accurate!

Is there any smart logic inside? sun light can interfere.
Or just a IR LED with a Ir-transistor,you can get a pair like that at radioshack.
