I am considering doing a project with my basic stamp kit to read engine info using the odb-ii port in my 08 tacoma and displaying it on an lcd. Has this been done using basic stamp if so are there any examples? Also does anyone know how to get the info from tire pressure monitoring systems? I would also like to get tire pressure and display it for all 5 tires if thats possible or at least which one is low. Any help would be appreciated. Also would the prop be better suited for this or is the basic stamp suitable?

    You will need a pin out or better yet a factory service manual for your model year because your Tacoma may be a can bus system.
    If it is a can bus then you would probably have to use the propeller.

    Wont a ODB-ii scanner tell me cause thats what i got to read info right now, and incase the check engine light ever comes on.
