These look like they could work in an older blue Scribbler, as long as there's room to fit inside the case. There's a ribbon cable on the right side that might have to be pushed sideways to make room. Kit consists of encoder disks, sensors, hardware and wiring harness. Looks like single sensors, not quadrature encoders.     For $14 (plus $6 for shipping) - it would be fun just to play with...Hard to see how you could go wrong.

    Looks like they would fit the Magicians chassis as well...
    I'm going to order a pair to see if they fit...
