    I wasn't at Intel in '71...but shortly after joining in '73, I held the first 5 8080 uPs that were slated for burn-in.

    I and the rest of the techs stood looking down at this slab of black conductive foam with 5 "monsterous" 40-pin packs and wondered out loud, "what the heck are these?!".

    Little did we know...

    The 8008's didn't fair too well after the flood in Nashville May 2010. I had 20 that fetched a pretty good price on ebay.

    That puts the 4004 and Ken about the same age.

    Just think, only about 3 months and we can start another multi-page thread about Ken's birthday.
