Simple servo control

I want to control a servo with the servo pins on the Propeller Professional Development Board. I have never used a servo before and am in desperate need of help. All I want to do is to keep track of the amount the servo has turned and simply pan it in a 180 degree back and forth fashion. Please, the simplest explanation would be a huge help.

    Clarification:
Is this an RC, Radio Controlled, servo which is controlled with a 1mS to 2mS pulse train.
    Or
A servo motor with an optical rotation sensor?

Look at Servo32v7 in the OBEX. To get the full 180 degree range you will probably need to adjust the pulse width limits as described in the comments section of that web page.

Servo32v7 is actually distributed with the Propeller Tool (v1.3). There's a demo in the demo folder.
