New to Prop Scope it runs fine on my laptop with Windows 7 but won’t run on my desktop Dell with XP, It shows the screen but can’t find the USB. I tried reloading the drivers and software, I went into the device manager and checked out the port settings, everything looks fine is says the device is working correctly, I tried different com ports but all to no avail. Dose anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Don,
What's the exact error message? Can you post a screenshot?

    Hi Don,
Very odd. Sounds like your PropScope is fine because it works on Win7. Are you using a high quality USB cable? Not a flimsy retractable one?
Can you install the Propeller Tool, click "edit preferences", then "edit ports", and tell me the port id and port description?

    Hi Hanno
I think this is what you are looking for. I included com5 and reloaded PropScope but it still gave the same error message. I have since restored it to this, the way I found it.
P.S. The USB cable is the one that came with the ProScope
THe Port I.D. is com5(see post 2 above) it is to one of the core USB ports on the back of the computer. I have tried several other USB ports also.
