Bobby's visit to Parallax

Hi everyone -
Bobby came by for a visit today. Bobby is 16 years old and received his Eagle Scout honors at 14 yrs of age. He's currently working on his Robotics Merit Badge and is using the Boe-Bot as his "Bot of Choice".

One of the really cool things about Parallax, is that if you're ever in the neighborhood - we welcome visitors! Bobby got a tour today of the production facility along with his grandparents Bill and Carol.

Bobby's never been on a Forum before, so let's give him some encouragement! Not only him, but how about all the other Scouts out there that are working so hard to make our world a better place :-)

    Welcome, Bobby! Looks like you had a great visit at Parallax. I must follow your fine example and make a pilgrimmage there one day. That robotics merit badge is fantastic. I would have made Eagle scout quicker if they had that when I was in Scouts, many moons ago. :)

    I got to visit about a year and half ago. Looks like you meet everyone - including Eddie!

    Lots of great people and Parallax and lots of great people on the forums to help with questions when you have them...

    Thanks for coming to Parallax today, Bobby. You learned a bunch and will need to show Matt what you've learned to get the merit badge. He's not easy, so you better get through the projects and be prepared to explain how it all works.

    Quadcopters next time, okay? We will make sure that Nick is ready to share....

    Congrats Bobby on earning your Eagle at such an early age! Your parents must be VERY proud. And you still have lots of time to earn some Palms. I too wish the Robotics merit badge existed when I was a Scout. Had to settle for Electricity and Electronics. Welcome to the forum, keep up the good work.
