I can tell you that's the 100% made-in-America Toddler chassis. In fact, those legs were $17 each to have surfaced machined at a local shop. This chassis was before we made the legs out of cast aluminum for a much lower cost (and far lower aesthetics!).

I can probably cough over the rest of the guts if somebody on the forums buys it.

I stopped at $71. I like Parallax stuff alot, but not that much into the cult part. I reciently picked up Stingray for $100. I am rebuilding and wiring it for resale soon.

I have more success on Ebay when I slightly overbid by an odd amount, like $101.99, if I really want something. Snipers tend to bid even amounts like $100.

@erco - I realized that it wasn't fair of me to swoop in an try to grab it when you guys may have had a vested interest. I enjoy collecting Parallax parts, but do I "need" it? Probably not badly enough to get into a bidding war.

Now if it was a golden one.... that'd be a different story!

I agree with the greediness.

I got my Gold Toddle a couple of years ago from http://www.hvwtech.com. A good outfit out of Canada that has been selling Parallax
products for quite a while. I bought , what I believe was the last new Gold Toddler on the planet. Haven't seen a new one for sale since.

Somewhere the QC got dropped, and I got this:

Wow. 23 bids and it's up to $100. With only 5 hours left, who will get the half toddler body prize? One of the best projects I did with the Toddler robot was turn a gold one into the Toddler Humanoid. It has six degrees of freedom, head, arms, legs and a torso. The main sensor is a Ping for ultrasonic vision. Batteries were put in the legs for excellent balance and center of gravity. It back packed either BASIC Stamp boards or a USB PSC.

I placed a bid on the Toddler chassis and while it's cute (and blue), $100+ seemed a bit much for a bare chassis (Tho' Ken's offer to "cough up" parts for it was ==way cool==! Yay Ken!)

DoggieDoc, congrats on your winnings. It looks like you won twice, the 2nd time is because Ken is making your new Toddler complete and real winner!

Good to hear. Since real Toddlers are so rare and expensive, I may have to make my own. Moved to my to-do list.
