Disregarding, for a moment, the collector value of the original RadioShack packaging, those clever folks over at NTE Electronics have a direct replacement for the LM3909 (which I once used, with an LED, to attract shrimp to their ultimate demise in a submerged trap):
I didn't take a picture of it, but the data is printed on the back of the card.
I bet there's more than one member, some lurker, who's seen this and had a flashback to two decades back of gazing longingly at that last one on the peg-board - only for it to have ("Hey, where'd it go?") got away.
Redemption is yours, my friend, don't let your LM3909 get away from you a second time.

I was attempting humor, I didn't realize older electronics were so valuable.
Sorry to PJ.
Duane
Thanks a lot.
So, what's your "handling" charge, wiseguy?
Dig It: This wonderful, prime collectible goes USPS to any destination in the United States - no extra charges.
I should have known older electronics where valuable after seeing what people are willing to pay for older electronics kits.
In my ignorance, I thought this was like selling a 555 for $50.
Duane
Oh, PJ, you shameless profiteer!

Genuine Radio Shack parts. Need I say more? [I didn't think so.]
