How can someone achieve the HM55B BS2 demo (EOL)--I have one now

Just wondering if there is HM55B compass available to buy or how I could do the mapping demo with something else.

The demo is in the getting started with xbee modules.Chapter 7 monitoring and control projects.
Basic Stamp Project:Wireless Joystick Control and Monitoring of a Boe Bot.If the HM55B is no longer available what would be a suitable replacement.Also can this demo be edited to coinside with the replacement part.

Im not sure off hand.I have the Honeywell HMC6352 compass and it wont work.Something about how its read or stores info?Its a project I was working on last winter and got the wrong compass for it.

edit...how the HM55b was read or stores the info.Maybe it had an enable pin or something.
Was hoping one of the authors might chime in.

If it's not a Parallax product there probably isn't demo code for it. You will have to figure out what the compas uses to control and communicate and write your own code.
