Application problem

Hello Parallax,
I have a problem with the basic stamp editor.
My computer is a new note book from Asus when I start the application,

I have the editor running under Vista without issues, although on a different machine. I also run the editor on an ASUS eeePC running XP.

I see that you have only a very tiny amount of Free Memory. Can you temporarily clear some RAM to see if that helps the issue?

I am having this same problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a bunch of times using different compatibility settings, etc... I also turned off antivirus software and anything else I thought could be a problem as far as the OS goes. My installation of Windows is relatively new and I believe it is clean as far as malware, viruses, etc. Please help as I am a teacher of a class where my students create BASIC Stamp projects. I have about 25 projects going in total and I can't afford to not help them debug their programs from my own computer... p.s. I used to have a Thinkpad T41p with XP running the editor and it worked fine. I'm not doing anything differently than before though as far as hardware is concerned... same BS2 board, same serial setup etc...

Specs are as follows:
Lenovo Thinkpad T61p (Core2 Duo) T7700
Windows 7 Home Pro (32 bit) SP1
4 GB of RAM
Plenty of hard disk space.
Nothing plugged in at the time of install/run.
I do have the fingerprint reader, I wonder if that's an issue.
