Need help with BSLA software error

Whew! Found an archive of the BSLA install zip file and used it in an attempt to recover use of the BSLA.
It unpacked, installed and ran!
Sixteen channels of logic analyzer back up and running.
Again - whew!!!

For some unknown reason, I now receive the following message when attempting to run the Parallax BSLA application:
Run-time error '53':
File not found: usbstamp
The application then fails to start up.
I've removed the bsla.exe file and re-installed from the original zip file - no luck.
I've powered down the whole computer and restarted - no luck.
I am quite aware that the BSLA is long discontinued, but I am hoping that someone can point me to a solution. Losing the ability of debugging 16 channels is going to be very painful.
Parallax support has been contacted along with USBee/CWAV support in an attempt to knock on all doors.
