Problems with my Processor?

I've been having connection issues with my Boe-bot processor, and would appreciate some help. I have everything that's supposed to be plugged in plugged in, and whenever I plug the processor, 2 blue and red lights flash a few times. Echo is off, but loopback is on. Any help is appreciated, more information upon request. Thank you.

The first question that always comes to mind in these situations is this: are your batteries fresh (or fully-charged)?

Does your Board of Education (the Boe in BoeBot) have a built-in USB connector or does it use a serial connection or external USB to serial adapter? Have you installed the USB drivers?

I believe it is an External USB, and I have installed the drivers.

Not all types of USB-serial adapters work. What brand is yours?

I believe the FTDI driver should be installed before plugging in the device.
That's important.
(Do it selectively, don't let Windows do it for you.)
