You mean they could only carry three pictures back????
Seriously, GREAT work!!! I'll need to drive off to my Microcenter some day....it's a long trip!!
Somebody needs to get Microcenter a box of Programming the Parallax Propeller books for display UNDER the Parallax products. Somebody will pick up the Arduino book, start reading and then move to the left looking for an Arduino!
Micro Center has not yet been listed on Parallax's North American Distributor list. But I think I am looking at the right MC cause they have locations in Ohio.
Great
Is Columbus the only store done as of this time?
Are you doing them one at a time with Parallax sales doing it.
There is a Microcenter near me in Troy Michigan and it has the SparkFun display.
Right now it is as large as two sections of what is in your pictures.
I look forward to having your products there as well at Radio Shack.
I assume the pics are not a fair image of the amout of Parallax products they will
carry, right now the Sparkfun section has way more in it, in your pics
OR are the Parallax products so much more popular they were already sold out.
Dropped by the local RS this afternoon and they were starting to put up some of the Parallax goodies. Just the Ping and PIR so far, but they have a dozen or so empty hooks.
Also, BS Manual, Propeller Manual, Stamps in Class Mini-Projects Books, and Getting Started With Xbee are on their way.
Component Stock on its way as well.
Most stores will be populated after the Christmas season, but it will happen!
This store is in Ohio - not sure which city though...

Here is a little idea for you. Since all the materials are downloadable on line, why not burn all to a cd or dvd and make them give-aways where ever there is a good display of parallax devices. Include the latest catalog as well. Surely the cd/dvds are far cheaper than the catalog to produce and have laying in stacks in front of the displays. I suggest this because I think that if someone sees a prop/BSx in the store and is curious, they may (probably not) remember to check you out on line, but if the info is right there in hand, it may be more probable that it may actually stick in someones mind to try that route. It is always a brand strengthener to have someone walk away with your gimme......
I agree with your point Frank. I have Parallax "What's a Microcontroller" and it came with a CD as what you are talking about. It even had "Nuts&Volts" articles included as well.
The Cincinnati MicroCenter has them... I was just there. Their layout is much better as well. The MicroCenter in Riverside is the same company... they should be getting them as well if they don't already. I was working in LA the other day and stopped by but didn't think about looking for this stuff... I was on a mission to get a new router. Next week when I get back to LA I'll stop in and see what they have.

Nice!
However I've two Microcenters near me. One is in Yonkers and is along Route 100, also known as Central Park Avenue. The other is much harder to get to, somewhere on Long Island.
But I am waiting for the parts to land at Radio Shack. I've got two here in Astoria, and one in Forest Hills, and one in Rego Park, and all of Manhattan to consider.
Of course Jameco just loves Parallax much more then the Robotics company they bought, does.........

Those shelves look a little bare, but it's nice to see Parallax is establishing some additional source here in Ohio.

I was hoping that this was the MicroCenter in Westmont Il!! I live a couple of miles away from that store. :-)
