Interesting find. By comparison, the Parallax Penguin robot needs only two servos to do walking and turning, and doesn't need to throw the momentum of a top heavy mass. The early family of robots that were built by David Buckley before Penguin and Toddler were made of wood. Parallax based its walking robot design on Buckey's two servo driven robots.
GENIOUS! That's the next step above a Penguin. That guy should make a kit, even using HD paint sticks. People would buy it, they've got more money than sense.
Not sure why Frits doesn't do more kits of his stuff. I think he looked into having a Chinese factory make his Yellow Drum Machine, but I don't know what happened to those plans. Perhaps because his stuff is made of wood he can't supply the materials, living in Denmark and all. We all know there's no forests in Denmark.
He speaks very passable English so I'm not sure why he didn't narrate the video.

I wonder why no one ever marketed a kit for this nifty 3-servo robot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej1_BWnmpgg
Probably the soundtrack on the video...
