7" LCD TVs back in stock, now include battery and broadcast reception.

We have had issues keeping the 7" LCD TVs (part number 603-32000) in stock, so we switched to a new supplier. We found a much better TV that includes a lithium polymer battery and accepts broadcast TV. If you want to build your own portable Propeller tablet, it will be much easier with the new display.

It also includes a bunch of features that aren't directly related to use with the Propeller, such as SD and USB sockets for photo frame and media player functions and ATSC digital broadcast TV reception. If you use it for ATSC reception, keep in mind that the standard was not designed for portable TVs, so the antenna will need to be perfectly still, and if you aren't particularly close to the broadcast tower, you may need a much more sensitive antenna than the included one.

If you want one, get it here.

Looks good. I like the price and the ATSC. Might have to get one for my hot tub (maybe treadmill too)...

    Resolution looks good too.

I'm sure it's better for Prop projects too. My current Parallax ntsc monitor only has ~ a 2" diagonal and is a bit flaky.

Please tell me the new TV's have stands. I spec'd in the other part number that you carried because it was easy to mount it to a case. I would really hate to do another revision change this late in the game for one of my bigger projects that is already horribly close to a deadline.

Google the TV name. You can see it from the picture. They have stands.
