WOW, That didn't take long after the resignation. He must have known.

I grew up admiring both Jobs and Woz, and given Mr. Jobs was my age, I will look at life a little more preciously now.

I can't say Apple is my favorite company, but Steve Jobs did a LOT for the computer industry. He may have been harsh, but he got the job done and returned Apple to a household name. RIP dude:(

Welcome to Heaven, Mr. Jobs. Oh my! we're all so excited you finally got here! You see, um, up here- sad to say it, but we're all still using Windows, you know, and, well, it's just been hell trying to keep it from freezing all the time. As even The Man said just yesterday, it would take more than a miracle to ever get Windows running right - ever. ...Oh, but now that you're here- oh, Welcome, Mr. Jobs. Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

He did work hard and did do a good job. He was also a visionary and, like most visionaries, was very demanding of others, hard to work for, and rare.

This is a bit sudden and surprising, but it does explain a lot of why Apple released the 4s IPhone yesterday.

A horrible way to go, but like a lot of guys at that level in business they prefer to die literally in harness.

Jobs was a very talented advertising man who understood what it took to market and sell a product. Perhaps one of the best since Ed Bernays. Though in the process he turned Apple from a computer company to a consumer appliance seller. And yes he was a very, very difficult man to work for due to his explosive temper which was legendary in Silicon Valley.

In the big city here there are so many people on the street, in the coffee shops and at the shopping malls, businesses, everywhere, using iPads, iPods, iPhones, and Macs - Steve Jobs changed the world in a very big positive way and made it a better place. He will be deeply missed.
