Recently in my transistor curve tracer project, Tom posted the title of a very good book on analog and conversions by Bonnie Baker. So far it seems to be an excellent read. I did however make what I consider to be one mistake here.

I bought the kindle version. Readability is pretty good on the cloud reader {only way from my unix box) and passable on my droid phone. Wish I could find a zoom function as diagrams just are barely readable if at all. Also, few books manage to consistently keep figures on the same page so it is hard to get back and forth like I would a paper book.

There is more to learn about the Kindle, but for now I think I will regress to paprer books. I would love it however, if kindle could give me a split screen where I could lock one page in one panel and continue reading on the other.

This is one of the reasons I only purchase e-books that come in html or pdf format. With those formats I can open the book in 2 windows so I can refer to a diagram or picture in one window while reading text in the other.

PS, if it is possible to print a copy perhaps you can print it to pdf.

I have been a slow adopter for ebooks as there were too many formats from vested interest. So I have been using a free application called Calibre that works on computers to open such material.

I must admit that it is slow and a bit awkward to get into the document, but once there it is okay. The last thing I need is to have a different reader for each and every ebook distributor.
