GCC Alpha Testing Sub-Forum: An Introduction (Read Before Initial Posting)

Hello GCC Developers, alpha testers, and readers!

Parallax has created this sub-forum as a common place for alpha testers to discuss their experiences and observations to the GCC Development Team. We are excited to welcome interested and able parties to begin testing and provide feedback for a new chapter of the Propeller legacy!

When posting here, please keep the following points in mind:

1. The software you are working with is considered "alpha" quality - the GCC Development Team is still in active development. This means the software distributed in this sub-forum will very likely have bugs, not be polished, and may crash. Therefore, some features may not yet work properly or may not have been implemented in a particular release.

2. Please be respectful and objective in your posts. Your bug reports and other observations are important and appreciated!

3. Parallax and the GCC Development Team will provide basic "getting started" instructions and other content. However, it is important that you have a strong understanding of the Linux command line, the make command, and GCC. There will be no GUI associated with initial alpha releases. We will do our best to make alpha releases accessible, but Parallax and the GCC Development Team cannot offer technical support. You are responsible for making an alpha release work on your particular platform.

4. One particular alpha release may work for you while another does not. At this point in development, the software is not guaranteed to work.

5. Be aware that an issue that you are posting about may have already been corrected.

6. Parallax does not require an NDA to be a part of the alpha test group.

*phew* Now that the official stuff has been said, let the C code flow! He who controls the C controls the universe! Haha. :)
