When the Propeller Robot Control Board was discontinued/retired, and after all premade units were sold, we started to turn the Stingray Kit into the Stingray Chassis Kit. It's a nice mid-range sized robot-chassis kit, but unlike the original offering it comes without a control board: similar to the MadeUSA - Robot Base Kit. The Eddie Robot Platform comes with a robotics board, and I believe there is work on another robotics control board. The Propeller BoE Board will also be a possibility for robotic control in the future.

For now though, the Stingray is turning into just a nice chassis kit with a moderate cost.

The Eddie control board, with it's integrated motor driver chips, may work well.

That's disappointing. I liked the built-in H bridge chip, it keeps me from having to assemble my own. I had never realized that they had discontinued that board, and I was actually considering buying another one (for an upcoming project).

I know its how it goes but all the discontinued parts is depressing.Especially when someone does a nice tutorial and then the parts get discontinued.
