DIY Blog and other Business

Alright, so I've let everyone know about new forum rules which will be arriving for all to view this week and I mentioned a number of other changes we've been working on which all involve more interactivity and more public participation from Parallax. It'd be impossible to think that we're not participating, it is our company and we come to the office to do 'something', so obviously participation is involved; however we are bolstering what is publicly visible.

DIY Blog
Whoa look at that, a blog about stuff. What sort of stuff? Right now we're getting it rolling, we're showing off some pics of us at Maker Faire and building upon what the DIY Blog will become. So, behind the scenes we've been busy building projects and tutorials; we want to share those with everyone. So if it doesn't really grab you at first, tune in again later when we start posting up the real meat of the DIY Blog. Some great projects, written by different people, and lots of source material by Parallax. Link to Blogs!

We're inspired by the projects on our projects' forum, by what we hear in emails and at conventions, and everything else; we truly appreciate everything YOU have done for us. This is one of the many ways we'll be showing it. You've seen Jessica's educational material, and now we're stepping it up further.

Giveaways
Yeah, we're still doing this. I have three PING))) sensors up for giveaway, and last week there was a Propeller Professional Development Board. This is the current flavor of 'giving back directly' we've had daily deals and weekly deals... there's still an eMarket out there with discounts; not to say that those won't necessarily come back, but please take advantage of the offer. Eddie Robot
I'm fairly confident the forum's community has been made aware of the Eddie Robot's presence. I linked the that post because Matt G. and Ken G. are answering some of the questions you may be having about the Eddie robot, especially pertaining to its control board. It is open source, it will work without the Microsoft Kinect and laptop, and it is a really sturdy development platform. Our robot is being used as a design standard, and that is really awesome. We've been receiving some strong press from it and we're very excited. Keep Matt G. busy and order one, because otherwise he might come over to my side of the office and whomp on me.

Actually Matt is very busy... so he won't come knocking at my door for a while ;)

Ken's Quadcopter Naming
Help us out! Name the cute flying thing that Ken has been enjoying for the passed while. Ken really likes his flying gadgets, I have a few awesome stories about his RC planes, and he's torn... he need the help of the community to name his quadcopter; HELP HIM! I told him to name it Snuggums: The Whiz'N Go Propaloppacopter-o-tron, but he wouldn't have it.
